Zhaga is a worldwide consortium aiming to standardize LED modules used in LED luminaires. The main purpose of Zhaga is to achieve compatibility between products produced by different manufacturers.

Zhaga allows you to obtain and apply the LED module from another manufacturer when the light source on the LED luminaire you bought from one manufacturer fails. Or, when the light output of the luminaire falls behind the technology of the day, it enables the relevant part to be upgraded.

The word Zhaga is not an abbreviation, so it has no meaning. Zhaga is the name of a waterfall in the Sichuan province of China.

Zhaga Consortium was founded in 2010 and hundreds of companies have joined the community since then.

Zhaga publishes a series of book publications, which describe in detail the connection between LED luminaires and LED modules. Zhaga specifications define the interaction between the luminaire and the LED module. In doing so, it avoids unnecessary restrictions on LED module and luminaire design.

Many lighting companies around the world are among the members of Zhaga. Organizations such as luminaire manufacturers, LED module manufacturers and test laboratories have become members of Zhaga.

The physical dimensions, photometric properties, electrical and thermal behavior of the components used on the LED luminaire are defined by Zhaga. Manufacturers produce products in accordance with these definitions and prepare products suitable for the global market.

Zhaga offers an improved supply chain and easier sourcing of components on the luminaire. It ensures the reduction of costs in production and helps the products produced to enter the market in a shorter time.
